WHO WE ARE
Dwelling Homes is a Christian believe community whose mission is to give hope and love to men, women and children who are trying to break the wheel of homelessness.
We aim to help homeless people who are keen to get off the street and help them to start a new life, by bringing the message of the cross with us to them to adhere to the community. We believe that everyone should have a place where they call a home. It is not always about having a fancy home, a brand new TV, or a leader sofa.
It is about having that space for yourself, where you can shower, have a rest when you. That place that you can call a home and a home is where you make it happen.
THE CHALLENGE

OUR APPROACH
At Dwelling Homes, our approach is centred on understanding individual needs, providing practical support and helping people move toward greater stability and independence.
Everyone experiencing homelessness or financial hardship has a different story. Their challenges, priorities, experiences and goals are not the same. That is why we begin by listening.
We take time to understand each person's circumstances, identify the challenges they are facing and recognise what they hope to achieve. This helps ensure that support is relevant to the individual rather than based on assumptions.
Understanding someone's situation is only the beginning. The next step is helping them access appropriate resources, opportunities and support.
Depending on their circumstances, this may include connections to housing opportunities, essential resources, employment opportunities, skills development, mentoring or other appropriate services. Our aim is to provide practical support that addresses real needs while helping people access opportunities that can contribute to greater stability.
Our goal is not simply to respond to immediate needs. We want to help create opportunities for people to build greater confidence, develop useful skills and work toward a more stable and independent future.
Empowerment means recognising people's abilities and potential while supporting them to take meaningful steps toward their own goals.
